or
is
attempting
to

person
against
the
other

reasonable
force
pursuant

this
chapter
shall
be
immune
from
any
criminal

prosecution
or
civil
action
for
using
such
force.

A
law
enforcement
agency
may
use
standard

investigating
procedures
for
investigating
the
use
of

force,
but
the
law
enforcement
agency
shall
not
arrest
9
a
person
for
using
force
unless
the
law
enforcement
10
agency
determines
there
is
probable
cause
that
the

force
was
unlawful
under
this
chapter.

The
court
shall
award
reasonable
attorney
fees,

court
costs,
compensation
for
loss
of
income,
and

expenses

the
defendant

by

plaintiff

court

immune
from
prosecution

or
burglary.

believes
that
a

violent
felony

imminently

perpetrated

justified
in
using,

the

perpetrator,

force

prevent
the
