Section 717B.2, unnumbered paragraph 1, 3 Code 2011, is amended to read as follows: 4 A person is guilty of animal abuse if the person 5 intentionally injures, maims, disfigures, or destroys 6 an animal owned by another person, in any manner, 7 including intentionally poisoning the animal. A person 8 guilty of animal abuse is guilty of an aggravated 9 misdemeanor a class “D” felony . This section shall not 10 apply to any of the following: > 11 2.
