Section 162.2, Code 2011, is amended by 3 adding the following new subsection: 4 NEW SUBSECTION . 10A. “Covered dog” means an 5 individual belonging to the species of canis lupus 6 familiars, or a resultant hybrid, that is more than six 7 months old and has its sexual organs intact. 8 Sec. 2. NEW SECTION . 162.9B Limits imposed upon 9 the number of covered dogs possessed for breeding and 10 sale. 11 A person shall not have possession of more than 12 fifty covered dogs for purposes of breeding the covered 13 dogs and selling the offspring produced from the 14 covered dogs. > 15 2.
