Senate File 2321 H-8350 Amend the amendment, H-8327, to Senate File 2321, 1 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as 2 follows: 3 1. Page 18, after line 13 by inserting: 4 < Sec. ___. Section 260C.14, Code 2011, is amended 5 by adding the following new subsection: 6 NEW SUBSECTION . 23. Adopt a policy, if a portion 7 of the tuition collected by the community college 8 is set aside to provide financial assistance for 9 enrolled students, to give notice to each student 10 who pays tuition of the set-aside practice and the 11 percentage and dollar amount of tuition payments which 12 the community college sets aside to provide financial 13 assistance to students enrolled in the community 14 college. The board shall prescribe by rule the minimum 15 standards for the manner, form, and content of the 16 notice. Notice shall be prominently disclosed using 17 the following methods: 18 a. On the community college’s printed tuition 19 billing statements and receipts if the community 20 college provides such billings or receipts to its 21 students as evidence of tuition payment. 22 b. By written and electronic communication if the 23 community college does not provide printed tuition 24 billing statements or receipts as evidence of tuition 25 payment. 26 c. In all written and electronic communications 27 sent by the community college to a student related to 28 the student’s tuition charges. > 29 2. Page 18, after line 45 by inserting: 30 < Sec. ___. Section 262.9, Code Supplement 2011, is 31 amended by adding the following new subsection: 32 NEW SUBSECTION . 36. Direct the institutions of 33 higher education under its control that set aside a 34 portion of the tuition collected by the institution to 35 provide financial assistance for enrolled students, to 36 give notice to each student who pays tuition of the 37 set-aside practice and the percentage and dollar amount 38 of tuition payments which the institution sets aside to 39 provide financial assistance to students enrolled in 40 the institution. The state board shall prescribe by 41 rule the minimum standards for the manner, form, and 42 content of the notice. Notice shall be prominently 43 disclosed using the following methods: 44 a.
