     1  1    Amend Senate File 405 as follows:
     1  2 #1.  Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the
     1  3 following:
     1  4    <Section 1.  Section 167.3, Code 2009, is amended
     1  5 to read as follows:
     1  6    167.3  "DISPOSING" DEFINED.
     1  7    1.  Any A person who shall receive receives from
     1  8 any other person the body of any dead animal for the
     1  9 purpose of obtaining the hide, skin, or grease from
     1 10 such animal, in any way whatsoever, or any part
     1 11 thereof, shall be deemed to be engaged in the business
     1 12 of disposing of the bodies of dead animals, and must
     1 13 be the operator or employee of a licensed disposal
     1 14 plant.
     1 15    2.  A disposal plant does not include an operation
     1 16 where the body of a dead animal is cremated, so long
     1 17 as the operation does not use the body of a dead
     1 18 animal for any other purpose described in subsection
     1 19 1.>
