     1  2 #1.  Page 4, line 2, by striking the word
     1  3 <annually>.
     1  4 #2.  Page 4, line 22, by striking the word
     1  5 <Wisconsin> and inserting the following:  <Illinois>.
     1  6 #3.  Page 5, by striking line 1 and inserting the
     1  7 following:
     1  8    <5.  SUBMISSION OF REPORTS == TIMING.
     1  9    a.  On or before December 31, 2009, and>.
     1 10 #4.  Page 5, by striking lines 6 through 8 and
     1 11 inserting the following:  <in subsection 2.
     1 12    b.  On or before December 31, 2009, and every four
     1 13 years thereafter, the commissioner shall submit a
     1 14 report to the general assembly and the governor that
     1 15 includes the commissioner's findings as to existing
     1 16 mandated health care benefits under state law as
     1 17 provided in subsection 3.  The report required by
     1 18 subsection 3 may include recommendations to the
     1 19 general>.
     1 20 #5.  Page 5, by inserting after line 11 the
     1 21 following:
     1 22    <6.  REPEAL.  This section is repealed June 30,
     1 23 2014.
     1 24    Sec.    .  SURVEY OF OTHER STATE HEALTH CARE
     1 25 MANDATE EXEMPTIONS.  The commissioner shall conduct a
     1 26 survey of the laws in other states that allow small
     1 27 employers to offer health insurance plans that are
     1 28 exempt from some or all of that state's health care
     1 29 benefit or health care provider mandates.  On or
     1 30 before December 31, 2009, the commissioner shall
     1 31 submit a report to the general assembly and the
     1 32 governor that includes findings and recommendations
     1 33 regarding the enactment of a law in this state that
     1 34 allows small employers to offer such health insurance
     1 35 plans in this state.  The commissioner shall consult
     1 36 with representatives of insurance, business, and
     1 37 health care providers in the development of the
     1 38 commissioner's findings and recommendations.>
