COMPULSORY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AGE == 1 6 WORKING GROUP. 1 7 1. Of the amount appropriated from the human 1 8 services reinvestment fund created in 2009 Iowa Acts, 1 9 House File 820, if enacted, to the legislative 1 10 services agency for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1 11 2009, and ending June 30, 2010, $115,000 is 1 12 transferred to the department of education to be used 1 13 for costs associated with the working group convened 1 14 pursuant to subsection 2. 1 15 2. The department of education shall convene a 1 16 working group comprised of the director of the 1 17 department of education, or the director's designee, 1 18 and other education stakeholders appointed by the 1 19 department to review supports for students affected by 1 20 an increase in the compulsory attendance age from 1 21 sixteen to eighteen years of age. The working group 1 22 shall consider, at a minimum, the necessity of 1 23 expansion of support programs and services for such 1 24 students, online at=risk academy courses, career 1 25 academies, and current at=risk allowable growth 1 26 provisions, and full funding of the instructional 1 27 support levy.
