COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT == 1 6 RENEGOTIATION. 1 7 1. The general assembly finds that state employees 1 8 should not pay less for health insurance than people 1 9 using the hawk=i program under chapter 514I. As a 1 10 result, the governor, the state court administrator, 1 11 and the state board of regents shall renegotiate the 1 12 collective bargaining agreements that are in effect 1 13 during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, and 1 14 ending June 30, 2010, with the state labor unions. 1 15 2. Pursuant to section 20.28, the provisions of 1 16 this section shall supersede any contrary provision of 1 17 a collective bargaining agreement and the governor, 1 18 the state court administrator, and the state board of 1 19 regents shall renegotiate the health benefits terms in 1 20 any collective bargaining agreements that are in 1 21 effect during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, 1 22 and ending June 30, 2010, with the state labor unions 1 23 for purposes of reducing the state's obligation for 1 24 health insurance benefits by fifty dollars per month 1 25 per employee and requiring each employee covered by 1 26 such contracts to contribute an additional fifty 1 27 dollars per month for health insurance benefits. 1 28 3. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009, and 1 29 ending June 30, 2010, the health insurance benefit 1 30 terms provided in subsection 2 shall apply to all 1 31 employees not covered under a collective bargaining 1 32 agreement in the legislative branch, the judicial 1 33 branch, and the executive branch including employees 1 34 of the state board of regents. 1 35 4. Any moneys appropriated from the state general 1 36 fund to a department, commission, board, agency, the 1 37 state board of regents, the judicial branch, or the 1 38 legislative branch for purposes of health insurance 1 39 benefits that are not expended as a result of the 1 40 reduction in the state's obligations for employee 1 41 health insurance benefits under this section shall 1 42 remain in the general fund and shall not be expended 1 43 for any other purpose.> 1 44 #2.
