     1  1    Amend Senate File 429, as passed by the Senate, as
     1  2 follows:
     1  3 #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
     1  4 clause and inserting the following:
     1  5    <Section 1.  Section 321.361, Code 2009, is amended
     1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
     1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  1A.  Local authorities of a city
     1  8 with a population of more than fifty=five thousand but
     1  9 not more than sixty thousand may by ordinance
     1 10 temporarily permit vehicles stopped or parked upon a
     1 11 roadway where there are adjacent curbs to be stopped
     1 12 or parked with the left=hand wheels of the vehicle
     1 13 adjacent to and within eighteen inches of the
     1 14 left=hand curb, if deemed safer than stopping or
     1 15 parking as provided in subsection 1 due to weather
     1 16 conditions.  However, an ordinance adopted under this
     1 17 subsection shall not apply to a road which is a
     1 18 primary road extension.>
