Section 261.10, Code 2009, is amended 1 5 to read as follows: 1 6 261.10 WHO QUALIFIED. 1 7 A tuition grant may be awarded toathe following: 1 8 1. A resident of Iowa who is admitted and in 1 9 attendance as a full=time or part=time resident 1 10 student at an accredited private institution and who 1 11 establishes financial need. 1 12 2. A person who is admitted and in attendance at 1 13 an accredited private institution; is domiciled in the 1 14 state during their course of study; served on active 1 15 duty in the military service of the United States 1 16 after September 10, 2001, and was discharged under 1 17 honorable conditions, or is currently serving on 1 18 active duty in the military service of the United 1 19 States. 1 20 3. A person who is admitted and in attendance at 1 21 an accredited private institution, is domiciled in 1 22 this state during their course of study, and is the 1 23 spouse or dependent child of a person who served on 1 24 active duty in the military service of the United 1 25 States after September 10, 2001, and was discharged 1 26 under honorable conditions, or is currently serving on 1 27 active duty in the military service of the United 1 28 States.> 1 29 #2.
