     1  1    Amend House File 675 as follows:
     1  2 #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
     1  3 clause and inserting the following:
     1  4    <Section 1.  Section 43.4, Code 2009, is amended by
     1  5 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph:
     1  6    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  In addition, each state
     1  7 central committee of the political parties shall, on
     1  8 the date set for their presidential precinct caucuses,
     1  9 establish a presidential candidate preference poll
     1 10 which shall allow persons eligible to attend the
     1 11 caucus to register their presidential candidate
     1 12 preference at the location of their precinct caucus.
     1 13 The preference poll shall begin at 7:00 a.m. on the
     1 14 date of the caucus and end as of the time the
     1 15 presidential precinct caucus is scheduled to begin.>
     1 16 #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 and 2 and
     1 17 inserting the following:  <An Act concerning
     1 18 presidential precinct caucuses.>
