Section 279.13, subsection 1, paragraph 1 9 a, Code Supplement 2007, is amended to read as 1 10 follows: 1 11 a. Contracts with teachers, which for the purpose 1 12 of this section means all licensed employees of a 1 13 school district and nurses employed by the board, 1 14 excluding superintendents, assistant superintendents, 1 15 principals, and assistant principals, shall be in 1 16 writing and shall state the number of contract days, 1 17 the annual compensation to be paid, and any other 1 18 matters as may be mutually agreed upon. However, the 1 19 contract shall not provide for reimbursement by the 1 20 school district or board for a discounted or free 1 21 membership or admission to a private business. The 1 22 contract may include employment for a term not 1 23 exceeding the ensuing school year, except as otherwise 1 24 authorized.> 1 25 # .
