     1  1    Amend House File 2645 as follows:
     1  2 #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 6 the
     1  3 following:
     1  4    <Sec.    .  Section 20.3, Code 2007, is amended by
     1  5 adding the following new subsection:
     1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  1A.  "Bargaining unit" means only
     1  7 those employees in a particular class of employees who
     1  8 have not opted out of representation by an employee
     1  9 organization.>
     1 10 #2.  Page 1, by inserting after line 32 the
     1 11 following:
     1 12    <Sec.    .  Section 20.8, Code 2007, is amended by
     1 13 adding the following new subsection:
     1 14    NEW SUBSECTION.  5.  Opt out of representation by
     1 15 an employee organization by written notice to the
     1 16 employee organization and the public employer.>
