     1  1    Amend House File 841, as amended, passed, and
     1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
     1  3 #1.  Page 49, by inserting after line 15, the
     1  4 following:
     1  5    <Sec.    .  GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATION.  There is
     1  6 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
     1  7 department of human services two million dollars for
     1  8 each fiscal year of the fiscal period beginning July
     1  9 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2008, to be used for the
     1 10 increased costs associated with rebasing of inpatient
     1 11 and outpatient hospital services rates for the rebase
     1 12 period effective in the fiscal period beginning July
     1 13 1, 2005, and ending June 30, 2008, as provided in this
     1 14 section.
     1 15    Any rebasing of hospital inpatient and outpatient
     1 16 services rates under this section shall not increase
     1 17 the total payments for hospital inpatient and
     1 18 outpatient services rates in excess of the amount
     1 19 appropriated under this section.>
