     1  1    Amend Senate File 343, as passed by the Senate, as
     1  2 follows:
     1  3 #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 3 the
     1  4 following:
     1  5    <Sec.    .  Section 232.69, subsection 1, paragraph
     1  6 b, Code 2005, is amended by adding the following new
     1  7 subparagraph:
     1  8    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (13)  An employee or operator of
     1  9 a provider of services to children funded under a
     1 10 federally approved medical assistance home and
     1 11 community=based services waiver.
     1 12    Sec.    .  Section 232.71D, subsection 3, paragraph
     1 13 i, Code 2005, is amended by striking the paragraph.
     1 14    Sec.    .  Section 235A.15, subsection 2, paragraph
     1 15 b, subparagraph (9), Code 2005, is amended by striking
     1 16 the subparagraph.
     1 17    Sec.    .  Section 235A.15, subsection 2, paragraph
     1 18 c, Code 2005, is amended by adding the following new
     1 19 subparagraphs:
     1 20    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (12)  To an area education
     1 21 agency or other person responsible for providing early
     1 22 intervention services to children that is funded under
     1 23 part C of the federal Individuals with Disabilities
     1 24 Education Act.
     1 25    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (13)  To a federal, state, or
     1 26 local governmental unit, or agent of the unit, that
     1 27 has a need for the information in order to carry out
     1 28 its responsibilities under law to protect children
     1 29 from abuse and neglect.
     1 30    Sec.    .  Section 235A.15, subsection 2, paragraph
     1 31 e, Code 2005, is amended by adding the following new
     1 32 subparagraph:
     1 33    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (18)  To a person or agency
     1 34 responsible for the care or supervision of a child
     1 35 named in a report as an alleged victim of abuse or a
     1 36 person named in a report as having allegedly abused a
     1 37 child, if the juvenile court or department deems
     1 38 access to report data and disposition data by the
     1 39 person or agency to be necessary.
     1 40    Sec.    .  Section 235A.15, subsection 3,
     1 41 paragraphs b and c, Code 2005, are amended to read as
     1 42 follows:
     1 43    b.  Persons involved in an assessment of child
     1 44 abuse identified in subsection 2, paragraph "b",
     1 45 subparagraphs (2), (3), (4), (6), and (7), and (9).
     1 46    c.  Others identified in subsection 2, paragraph
     1 47 "e", subparagraphs (2), (3), and (6), and (18).
     1 48    Sec.    .  Section 235A.15, subsection 4, paragraph
     1 49 c, Code 2005, is amended to read as follows:
     1 50    c.  Others identified in subsection 2, paragraph
     2  1 "e", subparagraph subparagraphs (2) and (18).
     2  2    Sec.    .  Section 235A.19, subsection 2, paragraph
     2  3 b, Code 2005, is amended by adding the following new
     2  4 subparagraph:
     2  5    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (9)  For others identified in
     2  6 section 235A.15, subsection 2, paragraph "d",
     2  7 subparagraph (7), and paragraph "e", subparagraphs (9)
     2  8 and (16).>
     2  9 #2.  Title page, line 1, by striking the word
     2 10 <reports> and inserting the following:  <reports,
     2 11 child abuse reporting and registry requirements,>.
     2 12 #3.  By renumbering as necessary.
