     1  1    Amend Senate File 408 as follows:
     1  2 #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 17, the
     1  3 following:
     1  4    <Sec.    .  Section 441.21, Code 2005, is amended
     1  5 by adding the following new subsection:
     1  6    NEW SUBSECTION.  13.  Beginning with valuations
     1  7 established on or after January 1, 2007, as used in
     1  8 this section, "residential property" includes all
     1  9 lands and buildings which are primarily used or
     1 10 intended for human habitation, except rental units or
     1 11 apartment buildings where the term of the lease is for
     1 12 thirty=one or fewer days, hotels, motels, nursing
     1 13 homes, and rest homes.>
     1 14 #2.  Page 1, line 23, by inserting before the word
     1 15 <applies> the following:  <, unless otherwise provided
     1 16 in this Act,>.
     1 17 #3.  Title page, line 1, by striking the words <the
     1 18 exemption from property taxation of> and inserting the
     1 19 following:  <residential property taxation
     1 20 classifications and exemptions, including>.
     1 21 #4.  By renumbering as necessary.
