     1  1    Amend House File 809, as amended, passed, and
     1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
     1  3 #1.  Page 11, by inserting after line 4 the
     1  4 following:
     1  5    <Sec. 500.  2004 Iowa Acts, chapter 1175, section
     1  6 50, is amended by adding the following new subsection:
     1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  5.  For sole source grant costs
     1  8 associated with the hosting of the national special
     1  9 olympics in Iowa by a special olympics nonprofit
     1 10 entity, in addition to the amount appropriated for
     1 11 this purpose in 2004 Iowa Acts, chapter 1175, section
     1 12 288, subsection 6, paragraph "b":
     1 13 .................................................. $    500,000
     1 14    Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys appropriated
     1 15 in this subsection that remain unencumbered or
     1 16 unobligated at the close of the fiscal year shall not
     1 17 revert but shall remain available for expenditure for
     1 18 the purpose designated until the close of the fiscal
     1 19 year that begins July 1, 2006.>
     1 20 #2.  Page 12, by inserting after line 8 the
     1 21 following:
     1 22    <Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  Section 500 of this
     1 23 Act amending 2004 Iowa Acts, chapter 1175, section 50,
     1 24 being deemed of immediate importance, takes effect
     1 25 upon enactment.>
     1 26 #3.  Title page, line 4, by striking the words <and
     1 27 related matters> and inserting the following:  <,
     1 28 related matters, and providing an effective date>.
