     1  6 2005, is amended by striking the subsection.>
     1  7 #2.  Page 2, by inserting after line 7 the
     1  8 following:
     1  9    <Sec.    .  Section 147.88, Code 2005, is amended
     1 10 to read as follows:
     1 11    147.88  INSPECTIONS.
     1 12    The department of inspections and appeals may
     1 13 perform inspections as required by this subtitle,
     1 14 except for the board of medical examiners, the board
     1 15 of pharmacy examiners, the board of nursing, and the
     1 16 board of dental examiners, the board of barber
     1 17 examiners, and the board of cosmetology arts and
     1 18 sciences examiners.  The department of inspections and
     1 19 appeals shall employ personnel related to the
     1 20 inspection functions.
     1 21    Sec.    .  Section 157.7, unnumbered paragraph 1,
     1 22 Code 2005, is amended to read as follows:
     1 23    The department of inspections and appeals shall
     1 24 employ personnel pursuant to chapter 8A, subchapter
     1 25 IV, to perform duties related to inspection functions
     1 26 under this chapter.  The department of inspections and
     1 27 appeals shall, when possible, integrate inspection
     1 28 efforts under this chapter with inspections conducted
     1 29 under chapter 158.
     1 30    Sec.    .  Section 158.6, unnumbered paragraph 1,
     1 31 Code 2005, is amended to read as follows:
     1 32    The department of inspections and appeals shall
     1 33 employ personnel pursuant to chapter 8A, subchapter
     1 34 IV, to perform duties related to inspection functions
     1 35 under this chapter.  The department of inspections and
     1 36 appeals shall, when possible, integrate inspection
