1 1 Amend the amendment, H=1417, to House File 841 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 3, by inserting after line 48, the
1 4 following:
1 5 < . If the department provides intake services
1 6 at the location of a provider included in the
1 7 expansion population provider network, the department
1 8 shall consider subcontracting with local nonprofit
1 9 agencies to promote greater understanding between
1 10 providers, under the medical assistance program and
1 11 included in the expansion population provider network,
1 12 and their recipients and members.>
1 13 #2. Page 4, line 33, by inserting after the figure
1 14 <2006.> the following: <The criteria for the
1 15 comprehensive medical examination and the personal
1 16 health improvement plan shall be developed and applied
1 17 in a manner that takes into consideration cultural
1 18 variations that may exist within the expansion
1 19 population.>
1 20 #3. Page 4, line 41, by striking the words
1 21 <services or> and inserting the following:

1 23 #4. Page 4, line 43, by inserting after the word
1 24 <physician> the following: <, or through any other
1 25 nonprofit agency qualified or deemed to be qualified
1 26 by the department to perform these services>.
1 27 #5. Page 11, line 31, by inserting after the word
1 28 <section.> the following: <To the greatest extent
1 29 feasible, and if applicable to a data set, the date
1 30 reported shall include demographic information
1 31 concerning the population served including but not
1 32 limited to factors, such as race and economic status,
1 33 as specified by the department.>
1 34 #6. Page 37, line 10, by inserting after the word
1 35 <Act.> the following: <In addition to sole source
1 36 contracting, the department may contract with local
1 37 nonprofit agencies to provide services enumerated in
1 38 this Act. The department shall utilize nonprofit
1 39 agencies to the greatest extent possible in the
1 40 delivery of the programs and services enumerated in
1 41 this Act to promote greater understanding between
1 42 providers, under the medical assistance program and
1 43 included in the expansion population provider network,
1 44 and their recipients and members.>
1 45 #7. By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
1 46 and correcting internal references as necessary.
