     1  1    Amend the amendment, H=1417, to House File 841 as
     1  2 follows:
     1  3 #1.  Page 35, by inserting after line 25, the
     1  4 following:
     1  5    <Sec.    .  REIMBURSEMENT RATES FOR HOSPITAL
     1  6 SERVICES == FISCAL YEAR 2006=2007.  For the fiscal
     1  7 year beginning July 1, 2006, reimbursement rates for
     1  8 inpatient and outpatient hospital services shall be
     1  9 increased by three percent over the rates in effect on
     1 10 June 30, 2006.  The department shall continue the
     1 11 outpatient hospital reimbursement system based upon
     1 12 ambulatory patient groups implemented pursuant to 1994
     1 13 Iowa Acts, chapter 1186, section 25, subsection 1,
     1 14 paragraph "f".  In addition, the department of human
     1 15 services shall continue the revised medical assistance
     1 16 payment policy implemented pursuant to that paragraph
     1 17 to provide reimbursement for costs of screening and
     1 18 treatment provided in the hospital emergency room if
     1 19 made pursuant to the prospective payment methodology
     1 20 developed by the department of human services for the
     1 21 payment of outpatient services provided under the
     1 22 medical assistance program.>
