     1  1    Amend the amendment, H=1221, to House File 619 as
     1  2 follows:
     1  3 #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 43 the
     1  4 following:
     1  5    <Sec.    .  Section 692A.13, Code 2005, is amended
     1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
     1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  5A.  The department, on an annual
     1  8 basis, shall publish all the names and addresses of
     1  9 the registered sex offenders in each county in a
     1 10 newspaper of general circulation in the county.  The
     1 11 department, on a monthly basis, shall also publish any
     1 12 new additions to the sex offender registry for each
     1 13 county in a newspaper of general circulation in the
     1 14 county.  Notwithstanding section 618.10, the costs for
     1 15 publication shall be submitted to the treasurer of
     1 16 state and shall be paid by the treasurer of state from
     1 17 the general fund of the state, otherwise publication
     1 18 shall be pursuant to chapter 618.  The treasurer of
     1 19 state, in consultation with the department, shall
     1 20 adopt rules in accordance with chapter 17A to
     1 21 implement this subsection.>>
