     1  1    Amend House File 2558 as follows:
     1  2 #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 1 through 9, and
     1  3 inserting the following:
     1  4    <Section 1.  Section 707.8, subsection 4, Code
     1  5 2003, is amended to read as follows:
     1  6    4.  A person who unintentionally terminates a human
     1  7 pregnancy by any of the means provided pursuant to
     1  8 section 707.6A, subsection 1, is guilty of a class "C"
     1  9 "B" felony.>
     1 10 #2.  Title page, lines 1 through 3, by striking the
     1 11 words <crimes against members of the species homo
     1 12 sapiens at any stage of development and making
     1 13 penalties applicable> and inserting the following:
     1 14 <the unintentional termination of a human pregnancy
     1 15 and providing a penalty>.
