Fresh milk contains a wide variety of essential nutrients, fats, proteins, antiinflammatory and digestive enzymes, bioavailable vitamins, and minerals, all in a natural form which is most easily utilized by the body. In addition, fresh milk facilitates production of lactase enzyme in the intestinal tract, allowing many people who are lactose intolerant to digest fresh milk with no problems.Iowa is only 1 of 5 states who does not allow the sale of fresh milk and it is high time we change this. All top 10 dairy states allow the sale of fresh milk. Iowa wants to join them! Please support this bill and send it to the full committee!

I have 4 children whose bodies do not tolerate store (pasteurized) milk. But 3 of them can drink and use the nutrition available in raw milk without adverse symptoms! They deserve a choice other than nut water (almonds do not produce milk) for growing their bodies. Iowans deserve the right to make the best choices for their families. Iowa's small farmers deserve the right to sell their products to consumers. No reason I should have to drive into Nebraska to purchase the milk my kids need to drink to grow and be healthy. Iowa does not support unnecessary government regulation interfering with families' lives. Please pass the raw milk bill now!

Please support SF315 and allow Iowans access to raw milk. Iowans should have the choice to choose the agricultural products that they feel will provide the most health benefits. We want to support local niche farmers and have the option to buy unrefined foods for our families. With the correct checks and balances producers can provide a quality, safe product. Please give your support!

Vote to end the overreaching laws that prohibit the accessibility of raw milk. Allow Iowans to have access to raw milk. We give our business to a farm in nebraska to get our raw milk. We would like to keep our money local and support our neighbors.

Please pass the SF 315 Raw Milk bill so Iowans can have the freedom to choose to buy and consume raw milk. Its such a hassle to drive to Nebraska or Missouri just to buy milk. Passing this bill will allow Iowans to pay Iowa farmers instead of farmers from some other state. The Iowans that want to buy raw milk are going to buy raw milk wherever they can get it, lets keep our money local and support our own small family farms. I support this bill!!

I have 4h children in my club that are unable to drink store (pasteurized) milk. Children need milk for body growth. I also know several other people that cannot drinkstore milk. I have difficulty drinking it myself.

Iowan's deserve a choice. Thankfully, we are rural and we able to make the choice many years ago to have dairy goats. We have all benefited in some way from the healthy raw milk they provide us. Other's, who do not ha ve the ability or desire, deserve the freedom to make health food choices for themselves.

I want to buy milk that has never been pasteurized, right at my grocery store or farmers market. It's safe, it has health benefits pasteurized milk does not, and it tastes better. Let's join the rest of the country in making raw milk legal.

I support the sale of raw milk in our great farming state of Iowa. My husband farms row crop and I am able sell eggs, fruits, and vegetables from my acreage. I would love to have the freedom to add dairy to my acreage and all that it would benefit our family for food and nutrition and as a small business owner. Thank you for supporting local!

My husband and I are good citizens. We work, homeschool our children, pay our taxes and try to live as Christians should. Please legalize fresh milk as wed like to support our local farmer by buying direct and providing our children with the best nutrition without breaking the law.

My family started our raw milk journey 4 yrs ago. I have Gastroperisis & EhlersDanlos syndrome. I am not able to drink homogenized milk, but since getting our own five dairy cows I am able to enjoy dairy again. Our family would love to be able to share our raw milk with friends/family/customers without penalty.

I am a farmer and have worked in dairies. Raw milk is NOT safe. It may contain over 10 disease causing organisms including,typhoid, tuberculosis, diphtheria, Q fever, brucellosis, E. coli and listeriosis. There have been many outbreaks related to raw milk and thousands of reported illnesses. Pasteurizing does not change the nutrient content and has no effect on lactose intolerance as this is caused by the inability to digest the milk sugars which are not altered by pasteurization. Pregnant and immune compromised individuals are particularly vulnerable. Still born babies and miscarriages are one effect of drinking raw milk that contains some of these organisms that pasteurization protects against. Please do not allow raw milk sales. Anyone that has raised cows as I do, would never drink raw milk after seeing the muddy, manure splattered udders.

I support this bill for the freedom of choice in our health. There are many who struggle with drinking store bought milk. Raw milk is something that they often can drink. Please give them that option and added health benefit.
