Margaret Buckton [Urban Education Network]
The Urban Education Network supports this bill. Although it mandates radon testing and mitigation, most UEN districts already have this policy in place for regular testing and the followup mitigation when results would warrant that. We appreciate the flexiblity for trained school employees to be able to conduct the testing and for the use of state penny school school infrastructure (SAVE) as an allowable source to pay for the costs of testing and mitigation.
