I support this bill. I feel dyslexia is more prevelant than we know. With all the demands on our educators who are serving all students in the classroom, they may not have the knowledge or experience to identify potentially dyslexic students and/or provide helpful interventions to those students. A dyslexia specialists can provide knowledge and support to teachers that improve the experiences of dyslexic students in the classroom. Additionally, a dyslexia specialist can work directly with dyslexic students and struggling readers to provide interventions that are known to work better for these students.
