The people of Iowa and our elected representatives havent had an opportunity to discuss amending any of chapter 29C for the past 20 months. Why on Earth would the legislature consider amending this now when no other changes have been allowed to be introduced? Why should the legislature provide government agencies broad immunity from liability during times of emergency? That simply invites abuse and violation to happen. If the dept of homeland security wants to get a bill passed in Iowa perhaps it should do what the rest of us have to do which is find a legislator to sponsor the bill. Agencies are NOT the people who elect legislators.

As a concerned citizen of this community, why would we allow such inequality and abuse such as this?!? That is nonsense and it should not be tolerated.
