The United Methodist Church is registered against this bill HSB200.We see gambling is a menace to society, preying on the weak and gullible, and unnecessary and undesirable to resort to commercial gambling for producing public revenue.The recent addition of gambling in Nebraska and the resultant cut in revenue in Iowa is a reminder of the dangers of relying on gambling income to fund government. It is irresponsible to try to increase gambling income. It perpetuates the lie that one can get raich by not workingjust playing games on chance. I urge Iowans and especially the House of Representatives to rethink your sellout to gambling and put Iowa on the road of sound budgeting and income production for the good of all Iowans.Brian Carter
