Who's idea was this bill? The entire Veterans Service Organization community views this bill as punishment directed at Commandant Oujiri for defying someone on the Vets Affairs Committee. The basic idea behind the bill goes against the concept that department heads are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Governor. There's no provision requiring any department director to stand for reappointment or multiple approvals by a hostile Senate committee. leave this bill in the trash where it belong and move onto something meaningful to the Veterans Community.
