Both UEN and RSAI support this bill. It eliminates a data collection that requires school districts to report membership in nonprofits associations (in full disclosure, both RSAI and UEN member districts must report their membership through this state data collection.) Membership in such organizations is already a matter of public record as school boards annually approve payment of dues, both publicly noticed on the agenda and open to public records. For these two organizations, membership is also available to the public on their websites. This data is not used at the state level for any purposes of which we are aware. With so much reporting on the plates of our administrators, we support elimination of this one that is unnecessary and duplicative.
