R. Bruce Beeston [VVA State Council, Veterans National Recovery Centers]

This bill idea is one the most illconceived idea to drain the Trust Trust for a program unrelated to the purpose of the fund, which is to provide aid and comfort to veterans in distress. All we in the VSO community see in this idea is a vote generating program to crow about during campaign season. Much of the community I have spoken with about the bill is against the bill. Kill it now or look for more logical funding sources. After all, the state treasury has $305 millio just sitting there.
