Any person admitted or committed to a county institution or home or admitted or committed at county expense to any private hospital, sanitarium, or other facility for treatment, training, instruction, care, habilitation, and support as a mentally retarded patient thereof shall be liable to the county for the reasonable cost of such support as provided in section 222.78.
