208.7 Mining license.

No person, firm, partnership, or corporation shall engage in surface mining or operation of an underground mine or mines, as defined by section 208.2, without first obtaining a license from the division. Licenses shall be issued upon application submitted on a form provided by the division and shall be accompanied by a fee of fifty dollars. Each applicant shall be required to furnish on the form information necessary to identify the applicant. Licenses shall expire on December 31 of each year and shall be renewed by the division upon application submitted within thirty days prior to the expiration date and accompanied by a fee of ten dollars.
