1 1 Section 1. Section 423.3, as enacted by 2003 Iowa Acts,
1 2 First Extraordinary Session, chapter 2, section 96, is amended
1 3 by adding the following new subsection:
1 4 NEW SUBSECTION. 84. The sales price from the sale to a
1 5 business of tangible personal property to be permanently
1 6 affixed or attached as a component part of a van as part of
1 7 the conversion process to adapt the van for use by persons
1 8 with disabilities and the sales price of all services used in
1 9 such van conversion process.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill exempts from the sales and use taxes the sale of
1 12 tangible personal property that is to be permanently affixed
1 13 or attached by a business to a van as part of the conversion
1 14 process to adapt the van for use by persons with disabilities.
1 15 The bill also exempts the services used in the van conversion
1 16 process.
