The bill provides that these 2 8 foundations must allow public access to information the same 2 9 as a government body and is subject to all other provisions of 2 10 Code chapter 22. The bill also provides that information that 2 11 would reveal the identity of an individual contributor or 2 12 potential individual contributor to a foundation, is not 2 13 public information if the individual requests confidentiality. 2 14 The bill also provides that individuals who made contributions 2 15 prior to the effective date of the bill shall be accorded 2 16 confidentiality as if confidentiality had been specifically 2 17 requested at the time the contribution was made. 2 18 Contributions made by entities other than individuals are 2 19 public information and foundations are required to itemize 2 20 such contributions by name of the entity, and type and amount 2 21 of contribution. 2 22 LSB 1246XS 80 2 23 ec/pj/5
