  1  1    Amend Senate File 2298 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 165, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Notwithstanding section 8.31, if the governor
  1  5 determines that the estimated budget resources during
  1  6 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, and ending
  1  7 June 30, 2005, are insufficient to pay all
  1  8 appropriations in full, the governor's uniform
  1  9 reduction of appropriations shall not apply to
  1 10 appropriations made for the division of the Iowa state
  1 11 patrol."
