1 10 "Sec. . WAIVER PAYMENT SLOTS. The department
1 11 of human services shall provide an opportunity for
1 12 counties to request an expansion of the county's home
1 13 and community-based waiver payment slots under the
1 14 medical assistance program in order to add slots to
1 15 address the changes in the definition of "residential
1 16 care facility" under chapter 135C made by this Act.
1 17 Any expansion in the number of waiver payment slots as
1 18 described in this section shall be implemented on July
1 19 1, 2004, or the date authorized in the federal
1 20 approval of the expansion of the waiver slots,
1 21 whichever is later.""
