PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 2233 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 14 through 23 and 1 3 inserting the following: "services, or upon the 1 4 court's own motion. As an option for modification of 1 5 a plan, the court may allow a defendant to complete 1 6somepartor allof the defendant's community service 1 7 obligation through the donation of property to a 1 8 nonprofit charitable organizationother than a1 9governmental subdivisionwhich provides treatment to 1 10 substance abusers. The judicial district department 1 11 of correctional services with the concurrence of the 1 12 chief judge of the judicial district shall designate 1 13 which nonprofit charitable organizations are eligible 1 14 to receive such a donation. Any donation received 1 15 pursuant to this subsection shall be distributed 1 16 equally to the nonprofit charitable organizations 1 17 eligible to receive a donation within the judicial 1 18 district. A donation of property to a charitable 1 19 organization offered in satisfaction ofsomepartor1 20allof a community service obligation under this 1 21 subsection is not a deductible contribution for the 1 22 purposes of federal or state income taxes." 1 23 #2.
