1 2 #1. Page 2, by inserting after line 32 the

1 4 " . In addition to the amount appropriated in
1 5 subsection 1, there is appropriated to the department
1 6 of justice for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003,
1 7 and ending June 30, 2004, the following amount, or so
1 8 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the
1 9 purposes designated:
1 10 For victim assistance grants:
1 11 .................................................. $ 2,000,000
1 12 Notwithstanding sections 8.33 and 8.39, moneys
1 13 appropriated in this subsection that remain
1 14 unencumbered or unobligated at the close of the fiscal
1 15 year shall not revert but shall remain available for
1 16 expenditure during the subsequent fiscal year for the
1 17 same purpose, and shall not be transferred to any
1 18 other program."
