  1  1    Amend Senate File 422 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 1, line 34, through page 2,
  1  3 line 10.
  1  4    #2.  Page 2, by inserting before line 11 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  Section 124.413, unnumbered paragraph
  1  7 1, Code 2003, is amended to read as follows:
  1  8    A person sentenced pursuant to section 124.401,
  1  9 subsection 1, paragraph "a", "b", "c", "e", or "f",
  1 10 shall not be eligible for parole until the person has
  1 11 served a minimum period of confinement of one-third of
  1 12 the maximum indeterminate sentence prescribed by law."
  1 13    #3.  Page 2, by striking lines 20 through 30.
  1 14    #4.  Page 5, by striking lines 4 through 16.
  1 15    #5.  Page 7, lines 2 and 3, by striking the words
  1 16 ", thereby requiring the court to grant the motion,".
  1 17    #6.  Page 7, by striking lines 17 through 25.
  1 18    #7.  Page 9, by inserting after line 3 the
  1 19 following:
  1 20    "Sec.    .  Section 905.6, Code 2003, is amended by
  1 21 adding the following new subsection:
  1 22    NEW SUBSECTION.  9.  Notify the board of parole,
  1 23 thirty days prior to release, of the release from a
  1 24 residential facility operated by the district
  1 25 department of a person serving a sentence under
  1 26 section 902.12.
  1 27    Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  905.11  RESIDENTIAL
  1 28 FACILITY RESIDENCY – MINIMUM.  A person who is
  1 29 serving a sentence under section 902.12, the maximum
  1 30 term of which exceeds ten years, and who is released
  1 31 on parole or work release shall reside in a
  1 32 residential facility operated by the district
  1 33 department for a period of not less than one year."
  1 34    8.  Page 9, line 16, by striking the figures
  1 35 "124.413, 692A.13A," and inserting the following:
  1 36 "692A.13A".
