1 1 Amend Senate File 357 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting after line 16, the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . Section 392.6, Code 2003, is amended by
1 5 adding the following new unnumbered paragraph after
1 6 unnumbered paragraph 1:
1 7 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. On or before July 1,
1 8 2004, and not less than sixty days before an election
1 9 for hospital or health care facility trustee, the
1 10 ordinance providing for election of hospital or health
1 11 care facility trustees shall be amended to include a
1 12 description of the boundaries of the service area of
1 13 the hospital or health care facility. The service
1 14 area boundaries of a hospital or health care facility
1 15 may be revised by the city not more than once in a
1 16 ten-year period. The ordinance, or amendment to the
1 17 ordinance, revising the service area boundaries must
1 18 be adopted not less than sixty days before an election
1 19 for hospital or health care facility trustees. For a
1 20 hospital or health care facility established by a city
1 21 after July 1, 2004, the ordinance containing the
1 22 boundaries of the hospital or health care facility
1 23 service area must be adopted not less than sixty days
1 24 before the election for hospital or health care
1 25 facility trustees."
