  1  1    Section 1.  Section 347.13, subsection 9, Code 2003, is
  1  2 amended to read as follows:
  1  3    9.  Fix at its regular February meeting in each year, the
  1  4 amount necessary for the improvement and maintenance of the
  1  5 hospital and for support of ambulance service during the
  1  6 ensuing fiscal year, and cause the president and the secretary
  1  7 to certify the amount to the county auditor before March 1 15
  1  8 of each year, subject to any limitation in section 347.7.  
  1  9                           EXPLANATION
  1 10    This bill changes from March 1 to March 15 the budget
  1 11 certification deadline for county hospital budgets.
