1 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY WILDERDYKE
1 3 A Resolution to recognize and honor Gary Guge and his work in the
1 4 Iowa State University Extension Service.
1 5 WHEREAS, for the past century, the Iowa State
1 6 University Extension Service has been helping Iowans
1 7 become their best by providing Iowans with access to
1 8 the resources of the university and by communicating
1 9 the priorities of the citizens to the university; and
1 10 WHEREAS, for the past 40 years, Gary Guge has had a
1 11 distinguished career as a servant for the people of
1 12 Harrison County through his honorable and unselfish
1 13 service as part of the Extension Service's work in
1 14 Harrison County; and
1 15 WHEREAS, Gary Guge began helping Harrison County
1 16 residents in 1963 as an Extension Service employee,
1 17 moving into the position of County Extension Education
1 18 Director in 1970; and
1 19 WHEREAS, Gary Guge's 40 years of service to the
1 20 Extension Service and Harrison County have had a
1 21 lasting impact on all age groups and people of the
1 22 state and Harrison County; NOW THEREFORE,
1 23 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 24 That the House of Representatives pays tribute to Gary
1 25 Guge for his devoted service to the Iowa State
1 26 University Extension Service and the citizens of this
1 27 state; and
1 28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That an official copy of
1 29 this Resolution be prepared and presented to Gary
1 30 Guge.
