PAG LIN 1 1 Section 1. LEGISLATORS' PER DIEM FOR THE 2004 REGULAR 1 2 SESSION. Notwithstanding section 2.10, subsection 1 to the 1 3 contrary, members of the Eightieth General Assembly shall be 1 4 limited to the receipt of per diem for expenses of office for 1 5 the Second Regular Session convening in 2004 for a maximum of 1 6 ninety-five calendar days rather than one hundred calendar 1 7 days. 1 8 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE AND APPLICABILITY PROVISIONS. This 1 9 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon 1 10 enactment and is retroactively applicable to the ninety-fifth 1 11 calendar day of the Second Regular Session of the Eightieth 1 12 General Assembly convening in 2004. 1 13 EXPLANATION 1 14 This bill limits the payment of per diem to members of the 1 15 Eightieth General Assembly for the 2004 Regular Session to a 1 16 maximum of 95 calendar days rather than 100 calendar days as 1 17 currently provided for in Code section 2.10. 1 18 LSB 7123HH 80 1 19 rj/gg/14
