  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  693.8  COMMUNICATIONS BY PEACE
  1  2 OFFICER OR RESERVE PEACE OFFICER.
  1  3    Except as provided in section 80.9, subsection 2, paragraph
  1  4 "d", a peace officer or reserve peace officer may transmit
  1  5 information over the police radio broadcasting system under
  1  6 this chapter for any official purpose while the peace officer
  1  7 or reserve peace officer is on duty or off duty.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill allows a peace officer or reserve peace officer
  1 10 to transmit information over the police radio broadcasting
  1 11 system under this chapter for official purposes while the
  1 12 peace officer or reserve peace officer is on duty or off duty.
