1 3 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 3, the
1 4 following:
1 5 "# . Page 1, line 5, by inserting after the word
1 6 "voter," the following: "an absentee ballot
1 7 courier,"."
1 8 # . Page 1, line 12, by inserting after the word
1 9 "voter," the following: "an absentee ballot
1 10 courier,".
1 11 #2. Page 1, by inserting before line 3 the
1 12 following:
1 13 "# . Page 16, line 4, by inserting after the
1 14 word "day." the following: "The statement shall also
1 15 point out that it is possible for an absentee ballot
1 16 courier to personally deliver the completed absentee
1 17 ballot to the office of the commissioner before the
1 18 closing of the polls on election day.""
1 19 #3. Page 2, line 7, by striking the word
1 20 "represents" and inserting the following: "acts as an
1 21 actual or implied agent of".
1 22 #4. Page 2, line 17, by striking the words "the
1 23 person represents" and inserting the following: "for
1 24 which the person is acting as an actual or implied
1 25 agent".
1 26 #5. Page 2, line 20, by striking the word
1 27 "commissioner." and inserting the following:
1 28 "commissioner or within seventy-two hours of
1 29 completing the training required in paragraph "c".
1 30 However, after completing training, a person is
1 31 immediately eligible to act as a courier."
1 32 #6. Page 2, by striking line 30, and inserting the
1 33 following: "the respective state or county central
1 34 committees, or those committees' designees. The".
1 35 #7. Page 2, by striking lines 37 through 40, and
1 36 inserting the following: "The state commissioner
1 37 shall prescribe a form for receipts required by this
1 38 subsection. The receipt shall include all of the
1 39 following:
1 40 (1) The name of the courier.
1 41 (2) The date and time the voted absentee ballot
1 42 was received from the voter.
1 43 (3) The name and date of the election for which
1 44 the absentee ballot is being voted.
1 45 (4) The name of the political party, candidate, or
1 46 committee for which the courier is acting as an actual
1 47 or implied agent.
1 48 (5) A statement that the completed absentee ballot
1 49 will be delivered to the commissioner's office within
1 50 seventy-two hours or at any time before the closing of
2 1 the polls on election day, whichever is sooner."
2 2 #8. Page 2, line 44, by inserting after the word
2 3 "office." the following: "The sheet shall also list
2 4 the names of any courier who actually retrieved a
2 5 completed absentee ballot from a voter if it is
2 6 someone other than the courier delivering the ballot
2 7 to the commissioner's office."
