1 3 #1. Page 195, by inserting after line 25 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . STATE COURTS – JUSTICES, JUDGES, AND
1 6 MAGISTRATES.
1 7 1. The salary rates specified in subsection 2 are
1 8 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2004, effective
1 9 for the pay period beginning March 25, 2005, and for
1 10 subsequent fiscal years until otherwise provided by
1 11 the general assembly. The salaries provided for in
1 12 this section shall be paid from funds appropriated to
1 13 the judicial branch pursuant to any Act of the general
1 14 assembly.
1 15 2. The following annual salary rates shall be paid
1 16 to the persons holding the judicial positions
1 17 indicated during the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 18 2004, effective with the pay period beginning March
1 19 25, 2005, and for subsequent pay periods.
1 20 a. Chief justice of the supreme court:
1 21 .................................................. $ 129,580
1 22 b. Each justice of the supreme court:
1 23 .................................................. $ 124,950
1 24 c. Chief judge of the court of appeals:
1 25 .................................................. $ 124,830
1 26 d. Each associate judge of the court of appeals:
1 27 .................................................. $ 120,210
1 28 e. Each chief judge of a judicial district:
1 29 .................................................. $ 119,100
1 30 f. Each district judge except the chief judge of a
1 31 judicial district:
1 32 .................................................. $ 114,250
1 33 g. Each district associate judge:
1 34 .................................................. $ 99,560
1 35 h. Each associate juvenile judge:
1 36 .................................................. $ 99,560
1 37 i. Each associate probate judge:
1 38 .................................................. $ 99,560
1 39 j. Each judicial magistrate:
1 40 .................................................. $ 29,680
1 41 k. Each senior judge:
1 42 .................................................. $ 6,630
1 43 3. Persons receiving the salary rates established
1 44 under subsection 2 shall not receive any additional
1 45 salary adjustments provided by this division of this
1 46 Act."
