  1  1    Amend House File 2442 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 19, the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 602.1304, subsection 2,
  1  5 paragraph a, Code Supplement 2003, is amended to read
  1  6 as follows:
  1  7    a.  The enhanced court collections fund is created
  1  8 in the state treasury under the authority of the
  1  9 supreme court.  The fund shall be separate from the
  1 10 general fund of the state and the balance in the fund
  1 11 shall not be considered part of the balance of the
  1 12 general fund of the state.  Notwithstanding section
  1 13 8.33, moneys in the fund shall not revert to the
  1 14 general fund, unless and to the extent the total
  1 15 amount of moneys deposited into the fund in a fiscal
  1 16 year would exceed the maximum annual deposit amount
  1 17 established for the collections fund by the general
  1 18 assembly.  The initial maximum annual deposit amount
  1 19 for a fiscal year is four six million dollars.
  1 20 Notwithstanding section 12C.7, subsection 2, interest
  1 21 or earnings on moneys in the collections fund shall
  1 22 remain in the collections fund and any interest and
  1 23 earnings shall be in addition to the maximum annual
  1 24 deposit amount."

  1 26 word "branch," the following:  "increasing an
  1 27 appropriation,".
