1 3 #1. Page 4, line 31, by inserting after the word
1 4 "period" the following: "for any current or future
1 5 project which has not been completed".
1 6 #2. Page 5, by inserting after line 3 the
1 7 following:
1 8 "Sec. ___. Section 15E.194, Code 2003, is amended
1 9 by adding the following new subsection:
1 10 NEW SUBSECTION. 5. In order to assure the
1 11 retention of existing jobs that would otherwise be
1 12 lost in connection with an employer currently
1 13 employing at one place of business at least one
1 14 thousand employees, the department of economic
1 15 development may, upon a finding that the employer has
1 16 made a commitment to invest at least fifteen million
1 17 dollars to retool or upgrade its facilities, authorize
1 18 incentives and assistance under section 15E.196 in an
1 19 amount equal to and on the same basis as if the
1 20 employer were an eligible business in an enterprise
1 21 zone."
1 22 #3. By renumbering, relettering, or redesignating
1 23 and correcting internal references as necessary.
