1 1 Amend House File 654, as amended, passed, and
1 2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 13 and 14 and
1 4 inserting the following: "shall be limited to six
1 5 hundred thousand dollars in the aggregate and shall
1 6 not be allowed unless refund claims are filed prior to
1 7 October 1, 2003, notwithstanding any other provision
1 8 of law. If the amount of claims totals more than six
1 9 hundred thousand dollars in the aggregate, the
1 10 department of revenue and finance shall prorate the
1 11 six hundred thousand dollars among all claimants in
1 12 relation to the amounts of the claimants' valid
1 13 claims. However, notwithstanding any other provision
1 14 of law, each valid refund claim shall be paid by the
1 15 department of revenue and finance in five equal
1 16 installments, or as equal as possible, over five
1 17 fiscal years beginning with the fiscal year beginning
1 18 July 1, 2003. Claimants shall not be entitled to
1 19 interest on any installments."
