1 1 Amend the amendment, H-1457, to House File 686 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 2, line 35, by striking the word
1 4 "subsection" and inserting the following:
1 5 "subsections".
1 6 #2. Page 2, line 36, by striking the word "The"
1 7 and inserting the following: "Except as otherwise
1 8 provided in subsection 9, the".
1 9 #3. Page 3, by inserting after line 6, the
1 10 following:
1 11 "NEW SUBSECTION. 9. If an urban renewal plan for
1 12 an urban renewal area is based on a finding that the
1 13 area is a slum or blighted area, the division of taxes
1 14 authorized in section 403.19 shall be deemed to
1 15 continue beyond the period described in subsection 8
1 16 if the ordinance of the municipality providing for the
1 17 division of taxes under section 403.19 within such
1 18 urban renewal area provides that the portion of taxes
1 19 described in section 403.19, subsection 1, and
1 20 allocated as provided in that subsection shall be
1 21 recalculated at the end of the period described in
1 22 subsection 8, and every ten years thereafter, and
1 23 shall be determined from and after said dates based
1 24 upon the assessed value of the taxable property within
1 25 the urban renewal area as of a date five years after
1 26 the date of the assessment roll previously used under
1 27 the ordinance to determine the portion of taxes
1 28 described in section 403.19, subsection 1."
1 29 #4. Page 8, line 19, by inserting after the figure
1 30 "2003." the following: "For purposes of this
1 31 subsection, a municipality may certify for such
1 32 revenue with respect to obligations which, on the
1 33 effective date of this Act, had been authorized to be
1 34 issued or incurred."
1 35 #5. Page 10, line 4, by inserting after the word
1 36 "bonds" the following: ", and also to pay loans,
1 37 advances, indebtedness, and bonds which had been
1 38 authorized to be issued or incurred prior to the
1 39 effective date of this Act".
